Our Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

JamTravel Enterprises, Inc. (“MycoMeditations,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates legal psilocybin retreats in Treasure Beach, Jamaica. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to our website, our retreat application process, and the care and integration support we provide before, during, and after your retreat. By using our website or applying for a retreat, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described here.

Information We Collect

Contact and account information: This includes your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address, collected when you sign up for our newsletter, contact us, or apply for a retreat.

Health and sensitive personal information: Providing safe, clinically informed psilocybin retreat experiences requires us to collect information that is more sensitive than typical contact details. This includes information you share during the application and intake process, such as your mental health history and current or past treatment; your responses to standardized assessments we use to support your care and measure outcomes, including the PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5, and MEQ30; and notes taken by your facilitation team during your retreat and integration sessions. We collect this information because it’s necessary to assess whether our program is a good fit for you, to support your safety and care during your retreat, and to provide ongoing integration support. We only collect this information with your knowledge and explicit consent, given as part of the application process.

Website and log data: Like most websites, we automatically collect information your browser sends when you visit our site, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the time and duration of your visit.

Cookies: We use cookies to operate our website and understand how it’s used. You can control cookies through your browser settings or through the cookie preferences available on our site. If you decline non-essential cookies, some parts of the site may not work as intended.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to evaluate and process your retreat application, provide your retreat and integration experience, communicate with you before and after your retreat, maintain accurate clinical and safety records, and improve our programs. With your separate consent, we may also use de-identified information for research, as described below.

AI-Assisted Documentation

MycoMeditations uses commercially available AI tools to support our documentation in two ways.

Retreat and Integration Session Notes

During your retreat, your facilitation team takes handwritten notes to document your sessions. To keep these notes organized, legible, and consistent, members of our team may use commercially available AI assistants, such as Claude (made by Anthropic) or ChatGPT (made by OpenAI), to convert handwritten notes into typed text. A member of your facilitation team reviews the converted text before it is entered into our secure electronic health record system, Homecoming Health.

Application Screening Calls

As part of the application process, some screening calls take place over Zoom, which may use Zoom’s built-in note-taking and summary features to capture the call. A member of our team may then use a commercially available AI assistant to help structure that summary into a standardized note. This process is designed to limit the personal information shared with the AI tool — our team refers to applicants using general terms, such as “the client,” rather than names or other identifying details, wherever possible.

In both cases, AI is used solely as a documentation support tool. It is never used to make clinical decisions, determine your fit for our program, or replace the professional judgment of our facilitation and clinical team. A member of our team reviews, edits, and approves all AI-assisted documentation before it becomes part of your record, and our team remains solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and content of that record. Regardless of which AI tool is used, it is our standard company practice to disable any setting that would allow the tool to use submitted content to train its models, and to delete the underlying conversation once documentation is finalized. [Note: AI providers’ own systems may retain deleted data on their backend for a limited period, typically up to 30 days, before final removal, consistent with their stated data retention practices.]

Data Retention

Because your safety depends on our facilitation and clinical team being able to review your full history if you return for a future program or reach out for ongoing support — and because a long-term, complete dataset is central to how we evaluate the safety and effectiveness of our program — we retain the following records indefinitely:

  • Your records in our booking and guest management system
  • Your records in our customer relationship management system
  • Your clinical records in our electronic health record system
  • Guest records held in our secure file storage

Marketing-related information, such as your name and email address in our email platform, is retained for as long as you remain subscribed, or until you unsubscribe or request its deletion. AI-assisted documentation involves no retention beyond the time needed to complete the documentation, as described above.

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will honor this request except where we are required to retain certain records for documented clinical, safety, or legal recordkeeping purposes — in which case we will tell you which records cannot be deleted and why.

Research Use of De-Identified Data

With the consent you provide as part of your application, de-identified information from your application, assessments, retreat experience, and longitudinal surveys used for outcome tracking may be used for internal program evaluation and, in some cases, academic research and publication. Before any such use, identifying information is removed so the data cannot reasonably be used to identify you. This may include sharing de-identified, aggregate data with academic collaborators or publishing it in peer-reviewed or preprint research intended to advance understanding of psilocybin-assisted therapy. We do not publish or share identifiable information for research purposes without obtaining your additional, explicit consent for that specific use. You may decline or withdraw your consent for research use of your de-identified information at any time by contacting us at [email protected]; withdrawal does not affect research already published using de-identified data prior to your request.

Third-Party Service Providers

We work with the following categories of third-party service providers to operate our programs. Each has access only to the information necessary to perform its function on our behalf:

  • Electronic health records and clinical documentation: Homecoming Health
  • Booking and guest program management: Retreat Booking Guru (Retreat Guru)
  • Secure file storage: Dropbox, under a business-tier account with a signed data processing agreement
  • AI-assisted documentation: commercially available AI assistants such as Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), or Gemini (Alphabet)
  • Video conferencing and call summarization: Zoom, including its built-in note-taking and summary features
  • Customer relationship management and guest correspondence: Copper, including application follow-up and other guest communications
  • Surveys and clinical assessments: Typeform, Homecoming
  • Email communications: Mailchimp
  • Internal workflow automation: Zapier

We require these providers to maintain appropriate safeguards for your information and to use it only for the purposes we’ve authorized.

International Data Transfers

MycoMeditations operates retreats in Jamaica, and your personal and health information is processed there as well as through a number of third-party service providers headquartered in various countries. Homecoming Health and Retreat Booking Guru are Canadian companies; most of our other service providers are based in the United States. Like most cloud-based platforms, these providers may process and store data across multiple countries and data centers as part of their normal operations. The precise location of data storage may vary by provider and is subject to change.

If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that have different data protection laws than your home country. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for these transfers, consistent with applicable law, and we select service providers that maintain recognized international data protection standards.

Data and Information Security

We use a combination of technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption, access controls limiting who on our team can view your records, and vendor agreements requiring our service providers to maintain appropriate safeguards. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. You may withdraw consent for non-essential uses of your information, such as research use, at any time without affecting the care you receive. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond consistent with applicable law, which may mean that certain clinical or safety-related records cannot be fully deleted, as described in the Data Retention section above.

Compliance With Laws and Safety Exception

We will disclose your personal information where required to do so by law, regulation, or valid legal process. In addition, consistent with standard practice in therapeutic and clinical settings, we may disclose limited information without your consent where we have a good-faith belief that doing so is necessary to prevent serious and imminent harm to you or another person.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
